PEACE FOR ALL | UNHCR 「難民の方々に、安全と尊厳、そして成長の機会を」
[Music] most refugees want to be treated as human beings they want the dignity to be able to be seen as productive members of society not as Abad most refugees want to be able to go back home they miss their country the fact that they know they’re not able to easily return home makes them feel hopeless and they desire a day when they can happily pack their bags and return home we have refugees who miss being able to work wake up in the morning and go to work and provide for themselves so they look forward to a time when they can be able to get that back where they don’t have to rely on people giving them food or providing [Music] shelter the increase of displacement and forceful displacement of persons is not only because of internal or external um War it’s also attributed to climate change where we’ve had water levels um rise in certain locations and certain countries which has led to floods uh drought out and famine and if only we able to address what things are we doing as human beings then we could be able to find a solution together and not only leave it to our world [Music] leaders I believe that peace uh can only be achieved if we all work together we have to talk about matters relating to statelessness we have to talk about matters relating to nationality whereby a woman in this day and age should be able to pass her nationality to her child a child born in this world should be able to be registered and have documentation a child should be able to go to school you and I should be able to find employment in any place or any country that is when peace will be attained for me peace is not leaving anyone behind refugees included when ref are included in the decision making in the National programs in all the systems in decision making then a longlasting peace could be achieved I hope for a future where refugees are empowered to rebuild their lives with security dignity and opportunities for growth I believe the peace for all project is is a really um important uh project because it talks about safety for refugees uh safety for people who’ve been forced to flee maybe because of climate change maybe because of wars and all other foreseeable uh reasons so it is a project that needs to be more pronounced so that we can be able to ensure that we provide safety for all persons in the world a [Music]
